Exchanges: If you have ordered the incorrect part and have not installed it, we will gladly exchange it for the correct part provided we offer it.
CDI Units: There are no returns for refund on CDI Units. The reason behind this policy is to stop customers from troubling spark issues ( misdisanosis) with our new parts. Due to the temperamental nature of CDI units, there is an exchange-only policy on CDI Units provided in most cases (No returns for refund). We will offer a 1-time exchange on a non-OEM CDI Unit. The previously sent ignition unit will need to be sent here first for testing. Inbound shipping is never covered and we do not send out any upfront replacements.
Ignition Unit Repair Service: ( CDI Repairs) When these parts are shipped back to the customer. They are only insured for the amount we bill for the repair itself. If the unit does test good and not repaired. It is only insured for the test fee.
Ignition System kits: Generally, these take four business days to build. These are custom and built to order so there are no returns for refund on them. In the rare case that there is a fitment issue with the stator or flywheel rotor, then we can exchange the component provided there has been no alteration. The 1-year exchange warranty on these components only covers internal failure. Any physical damage to any components is not covered by the warranty. All the parts in the kits are available independently as well.
Returns & Refunds: Returns are handled on a case-by-case basis, and are only eligible within 14 days of the original purchase date. No returns on installed parts. ( Parts to come with exchange warranties only) Eligible returns are subject to a 25% restocking fee of the subtotal which covers previous carrying costs and payment processing fees. After this period, do not ask for a return. Original shipping is non-refundable. Installed Parts, All CDI units, and Rebuilt Parts (select rotors & select stators), and are non-returnable. OEM parts generally have the oem stamp mark on them. If you are unsure which parts are OEM, please ask. Returns are never allowed based on the fact that they did not arrive at a destination by a predefined deadline or warranty related. Returns are never allowed based on the misdiagnosis of a problem. Returns are not allowed on any products that have been used or physically look like they have been installed. In the case of ordering the correct part, but the wrong year or model, we always assist our customers to make sure they get the correct part for their application (eg year-make- model).
Order Cancellation: It is often, that your order can not be canceled as the automated process flow moves along quickly. There are payment processing, acquisition, transaction fees, and postage that are paid which are not refundable to us or nor the customer. If you decide to cancel your order after it is placed, then there will be a 10% deduction from the refund credit. The average time credit cards take to reflect refunds is 7 business days. If we have to cancel your order, then this condition would not apply. It is possible that a multi-order may ship without a particular part. Order cancellations of built to order Ignition unit ( CDI) or system igntion kit will be subject to the cancelation refund deduction.
Warranties:Most parts are warranted (OEM parts excepted), Please ask if you have any uncertainty. Warranty terms are 12 months from the date of purchase. Generally a failed CB regulator rectifier is caused by a failed rotor. If your CB has a rotor, its best to replace the rotor, or else you will continue to damage your regulator rectifiers. The reading between the copper rings on your rotor should read between 3.5 - 5 OHMs.We will not be liable for these sort of instances
1983-1986 Honda Nighthawk CB650SC , CB700SC, and 1983 Honda CB550 nighthawk rebuilt stator check test: From wht to blk wire, should read 4-5 OHMs. There should be continuity between all 3 yellow wires, but no continuity to ground.
If you are replacing your CDI unit (iginitor), you should replace your regulator rectifier in order not to burn out further CDI units. Bayou CDI units are OEM kawasaki products, which do not have any type of warranty. You will find the same no warranty coverage on at your local Kawasaki ATV dealer, or any other ATV or motorcycle shop around the country.
Generally a failed XS regulator rectifier is caused by a failed rotor. If your XS has a rotor, its best to replace the rotor, or else you will continue to damage your regulator rectifiers. We will not be liable for these sort of instance
KZ Late 70s & early 80s. If you received part 304 for your KZ, and the connector looks different, you can cut the plug off and hard wire it: Yellow -> yellow, red/wht -> red/wht, blk -> blk. The orginal brown wire on your rectifier would no longer apply, and it can be capped off.
MISC: Please look at your OEM regulator rectifier connectors prior to purchasing new one. We are not responsible for purchasing the incorrect regulator rectifier.

Honda '02 stator install........
I'm ANOTHER satisfied customer. I ordered my stator from you and got it the next day. Who ever heard of such rapid service? The part was packed well. I had one minor adjustment to make, the wire hold-down bracket had to be moved to fit the notch on the flywheel, but all it took was to cut threads in an already drilled hole. Sure helpful of you guys.
My bike is running in tip top order and I'm a very happy camper. Thanks for your product and professionalism.

I wanted to let you know I installed the new rotor I my Honda CB 650 Custom today. The removal and installation process went better with an electric impact driver to remove the center bolt and later the removal bolt to pull the rotor off, wrenching was not getting it done.
Once I got it installed, put it back together (I still have a stripped thread for the side cover even though I tried to rethread and re-tap the hole--I am going to have to go up one size). I started the bike and I was getting an immediate charge at 12 volts once I throttled up to 1500 RPM. At 2500 RPM I was getting 14.7 volts, so I am very happy.
I did check the ohms resistance between the new and old rotor. The new one reads 4-5 ohms like you said and my old one is .3-.4 ohms, obviously this variance makes a big difference in the charging system. Like I have stated previously, I followed the Clymer's Manual for the bike, which was very misleading when it states that the rotor has no factory standard but is supposed to have very low resistance. It is no wonder that I was relying on bad information (the low ohms reading) for over 20 years and it turns out this was the actual problem!
I am very grateful to you for all of your help and I am very pleased with everything overall. I cannot thank you and your company enough for all the help, gudiance and reasonable cost with this situation.

Thanks, my rectifier arrived today, glad to see it came earlier than
originally expected. Just trying to help my neighbor out who is 70
years old and relies on his old Arctic Cat a lot on his property and
for Deer hunting. He towed his ATV to my place last friday and asked
if I could fix him up since he knew I was always working on my
motorcycles, I told him I would see what I could do and after he left
it was obvious his rectifier fried out, so I did some online shopping
and was about ready to make an order with a seller on Ebay, but then
found your site. You answered my question first and it turned out you
had the best price plus shipping, until ironically your shipping
charge rate changed just before I made the order, which actually put
you .32 cents more than the Ebay seller. But still you were the
prompt one who answered my question first and that means something to
me so I made my order. I think originally my order tracking stated
delivery on Oct 4th but it was rescheduled for delivery on the Sept
30th, which worked out perfect, I got it installed, did a double
check on all other electrical on his ATV and was satisfied this
rectifier was the only issue aside from the old one blowing the main
fuse, got it all back together, fired up the ATV the same time the
owner drove in, so he was tickled to be up and running so soon. Not
sure how it is where you are but deer season is open here. Since I
have my share of older motorcycles you can be sure I will be sending
any of my future business your way as well, thanks again.

My reg/rec and stator arrived well packaged and quickly.
Not bad as I’m at the bottom of the world!
Bolted up spot on, both the reg and the stator looked, and felt like good quality and well engendered products.
Plugged in to the factory loom, and right from the first turn of the key it had a nice stable charge rate.
About 1 volt variation through the rev range, 13.8v-14.8v.
The reg/rec runs at a much lower temperature than the factory one, and the extra length of the wire allowed me to locate the reg in an air flow without any problems.
Top job, top product!

I bought a CDI unit for my Honda NX250 from you. With the orginal unit the bike either ran fine of fired just once/ignition on. Your service was wonderful, and the bike now starts every time. What amazes me however is that the performance (which was always fine) seems much improved-i had to learn to ride it all over again! : ) I'm not well versed in what exactly happens inside those mysterious CDI boxes, but have to wonder if your replacement has a diffrent (improved) timing curve? No need to answer this email. I just wanted to tell you i'm one extremly happy customer and will recommend you to all of my riding friends.

I recently ordered a regulator rectifier for my 1975 Moto Guzzi T3. It has arrived last saturday December 1 and came without fitting instructions. An email was all it took and I had the instructions I needed. I fitted it today and it was very simple. There was ample wire available so that, if I wanted, I could have mounted the black box just by the tail light. Once I had it all hooked up I started the bike and had up to 14.5 Volts across the battery terminals. Fantastic!!! I am really impressed with the speed and helpful attitude shown in meeting my order and giving help when i needed it. The unit itself appears to be very well made and works like a charm. I am very happy and grateful.

I bought a regulator for my 2009 Burgman 650 a few months ago. It was shipped the same order day and I got it 2 days later. Unfortunately, it failed a couple months later, ( the luck of the draw). The true test of a company is how well they back their warranty. I was told to send it back and order a new recently introduced and improved one. The new unit was also shipped the same order day and arrived 2 days later and I only asked for standard shipping, (I live in Florida, a long way from California). I can see the new unit has a metal heat sink for better operation and understand their going to that new model. I was credited for the full amount of the original purchase the day they received the faulty part. I am very happy with the service and warranty response of this company and would reccommend them to anyone looking to replace any parts they carry. They can count on me and my friends for future orders should it be required.

I recently purchased a 1988 Suzuki Intruder vs1400 which has a CDI box unique to that year . After ruling out all other possible causes of a persistent misfire/backfire condition . My mechanic and I concurred it must be the CDI igniter unit . Now , where to find one . Finding one used for that year would be near impossible . There are no aftermarket systems available for the early years . Then along comes regulatorrectifier.com to the rescue . In just a few days a brand new unit arrived and the bike now runs perfectly !

Just wanted to say I’m shocked at how fast you shipped my recent order. After purchasing the coil, I went back and read the main page again. Uh oh, there was this “red font” in the middle. Like a bull, I focused on that. I thought I missed the deadline by two days late on orders. To my surprise, it showed up in just two days. (today) It was like Christmas. I bought this coil for my son. Then told him maybe September for delivery. He was good with that. You should have seen him today. I didn’t have my phone but a picture is worth a thousand words.
